I’ve had many labels in my life, both personally (daughter, sister, wife, mum, friend, and so on) and professionally (student, researcher, psychologist, prof, bureaucrat, etc), but none of them quite fit, didn’t explain all of me, who I am, why I am, and what I can do. So, I gave up trying to find one, I’m multifaceted!
Lately, as I adapt my life and career, I wonder again, can I find something all-encompassing, what I like to do, why I get up in the morning, and what makes me smile?
I like to help organizations move forward, but a strategic planner is only one part of that.
I like to mentor people to think about things differently and see the bigger picture. Mentoring and coaching are part of what I do, but I don’t consider myself a coach.
Every plan I build addresses staffing, communications, engagement, evaluations, management of risk, finances, projects, standards, and quality assurance. I am not ‘only’ one part. I’m all of it. I find and then build the path forward.
I am a pathfinder.
